Fall course focuses on environmental change

PI Sharon Strauss led a group of faculty in offering our fall core course, which presented students with an overview of rapid environmental change and potential responses. Topics included global climate change from a historic and modern perspective, the impacts of rapid change on the genetics of populations and biological conservation, human ecology and rapid environmental change, and environmental ethics. The multidisciplinary perspectives provided in the course are essential for preparing our trainees to conduct the collaborative interdisciplinary project that constitutes the capstone of our training program.
