New undergraduate minor in complex systems

An education achievement this year is the creation of a new undergraduate minor in complex systems. Two students have already enrolled in the minor which provides an opportunity for concentrators in other departments to take a coherent curriculum in complexity and modeling that complements their major field of study. The minor requires foundational courses in complex systems theory and modeling and has a list of electives related to the physical and social sciences as well as biological science and theory/methods. The University of Michigan College of Literature, Science & Arts (LSA) approved the minor largely due to our success with the IGERT program.
