Achievement

COB faculty John Rinzel has fostered the interdisciplinary training of several students/colleagues from China. This was achieved by establishing contact through his visits to Beijing and to Xi'an and by hosting visitors to his research working group. He has since been appointed as Chair Professor of Neural and Cognitive Computation at Tsinghua University in Beijing and has taught for two weeks in an undergrad course there on Systems and Computational Neuroscience in the Biomedical Engineering Department.
