About Me
Professor of Biology, University of Oregon. Studying evolution of developmental mechanisms in the non-vertebrate chordate Oikopleura dioica and in several fish, including zebrafish, stickleback, Antarctic icefish, and gar. Focus is on the evolution of gene duplicates after genome duplication emphasizing skeletal development. Also studying sex determining mechanisms and seeking therapies for Fanconi Anemia.
