About Me

I am a professor of physics at Boston University, where I have been since 1986. At BU I currently serve as Chair of the Physics Department and Director of the Center for Computational Science, an interdepartmental Center which I helped establish in 1990. My lifelong research interest has been in particle theory, with particular attention to non-perturbative phenomena. For many years the main focus of my research has been the use of computational methods to study QCD and other particle theories. This has generated a broad interest in computational physics and, more generally, computational science. I enjoy very much teaching and at Boston University I introduced and taught many times two courses in computational physics.
