About Me

I earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. My involvement with the IGERT program was a huge help during my studies, both as far as funding and in struggling with understanding complex biological systems.

I am now a principal engineer at a medical device company in the Twin Cities. Although I’m not using the specific knowledge I gained in my subfield during my graduate studies, I am using the mindset that IGERT helped teach me as well as many of the tools I learned during my grad school career. Med device is a great field, both from market standpoint and being something that is highly personally motivating.
