About Me
B. S. Manjunath received the B. E. from the Bangalore University, M. E. from
the Indian Institute of Science, and Ph. D. degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Southern California in 1991. He is now a Professor of
Electrical and Computer Engineering and director of the Center for Bio-Image
Informatics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His
research interests include large scale image/video databases, camera networks, information security and bio-image informatics. He has published over 200 peer reviewed articles and is a co-inventor on 22 US patents. He has served as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, PAMI, Multimedia and the IEEE SP Magazine, and is currently an AE of the IEEE T. Information Forensics and Security. He is a fellow of the IEEE.
