About Me

Current research focuses on impacts of environmental change and water management decisions in the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint basin on the livelihoods of oyster harvesters in Florida’s Apalachicola Bay. I also investigate how water conflict connects to identity, the emergence of advocacy networks, and the politics of representation.
Past projects have explored community-based natural resource management, parks and protected areas, ecotourism, and the impacts of socionatural disaster on rural livelihoods. I have also conducted fieldwork in Mexico, Peru, and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
