Bernadette Hanlon
About Me
I am Research Analyst and NSF IGERT Program Coordinator at the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Education (CUERE) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). I have been working at CUERE since 2002. I received a Ph.D. in Public Policy from UMBC in 2007. My research interests are in metropolitan development, the sociology and politics of cities and suburbs, and issues related to environmental sustainability and planning. I have two Masters degrees, a Master of Philosophy from Trinity College, Dublin Ireland and a Masters in Policy Science from UMBC. I currently live in Baltimore City, close to the old Memorial Stadium. I enjoys films, photography and traveling. I was born in Dublin, Ireland. I currently have three beautiful nephews, two in New York city and one in London, whom I enjoy visiting regularly.
